Amy Gare is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience practicing the law. She is the managing partner of Gare Law, LLC, where she serves as external general counsel to a variety of businesses with a focus on employment law, management strategy and coaching.
Prior to establishing Gare Law, LLC, Amy served as an Assistant General Counsel and the Deputy Ethics and Compliance Officer for Capgemini, North America. Capgemini is one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology, outsourcing services, and local professional services and at the time of Amy's departure employed approximately 15,000 employees in their North American division.
While at Capgemini, Amy partnered with the North American human resources team and counseled both the regional and the global executive management teams in connection with matters ranging from the creation, implementation and application of employee relations and ethics policies to the evaluation and minimization of litigation risks of employment decisions. In addition to these responsibilities, Amy was responsible for leading several internal investigations and creating and implementing trainings concerning anti-harassment, ethics, and compliance.
Amy began her career as a general commercial litigator at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver and Jacobson, LLP in New York, New York. She went on to hone her skills as a commercial litigator and an employment lawyer at the Connecticut law firm, Cohen and Wolf, P.C. Thereafter, she served as the Head of Employment Law for The Royal Bank of Scotland, Markets and International Banking, N.A. f/k/a Greenwich Capital Markets.
Amy is admitted in both the States of New York and Connecticut as well as the Southern District of New York and the District of Connecticut. Amy received her B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy with High Honors from Lehigh University and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honors Society.
